Eucalyptus’s infrastructure software allows enterprises to deploy scalable private and hybrid cloud computing environments. The software itself also connects to the public cloud, including Amazon Web Services. The company is using the funding to scale development, marketing and sales its software.

MySQL’s CEO Mårten Gustaf Mickos joined Eucalytpus in March shortly after joining Benchmark Capital as an Entrepreneur in Residence last fall.
