As the market leader in the space, Brightidea continues to show leadership in the industry. GE recently launched a $200M open innovation challenege utilizing Brightidea’s software to reach a wider network of innovators for the GE Ecomagination Challenge: Powering the Grid. Its the largest open innovation challenge in history.
It is great to see the idea management market expanding – we’ve watched it grow a lot in the 15 years since we founded it. The activity monitor, custom workflow alerts, and other new features were created side-by-side with our customers, and we’re already hard at work developing the next new innovations to turn companies’ best ideas into business value.
Interesting story! Spigit has been offering idea management software like this for quite some time now but good to hear the market is expanding. With Spigit, people are able to see who the real influencers are within an organization based in quality of ideas and influence. Most often, influence does not necessarily correlate with job title. Great ideas can come from anywhere and having a reputation influenced by peers and based on user feedback is ever important.
Despite offering competing platforms, I believe companies like Imaginatik and Spigit work together to drive awareness about ideation as an industry. This is a benefit to all.
